Meet Michael Madden – Spreading Holiday Cheer for Over 40 Years!

Michael Madden, aka Santa, has been portraying the jolly old elf over 4 decades. As a young man in the early 80’s, Michael joined the Junior Chamber and became involved in various community projects such as Steinford (a program that provides free toys to under privileged children and families experiencing unexpected hard times) and Santaland (a program that provides a Santa Claus, based in a winter wonderland, for inner city children to get a free picture with Santa). Mr. Madden took to the role instantly as he seemed to have a real talent for the character and making children smile.

As people began voicing a need for Santa for whatever reason, Mr. Madden (Santa) became a sought-after figure year after year.

Mr. Madden has portrayed Santa Claus for various organizations like IHM School, IHM Bingo, Knights of Columbus, Triple Crown Country Club, The Bankers Club, Walgreens, Boone County Parks, Norwood Christmas Festival, the Cincinnati Premium Outlets, and many more.

Mr. Madden is dedicated to bringing smiles and happiness to children wherever he goes!

Who is Santa Claus?

Saint Nicholas was a Turkish bishop of Greek descent during the Roman Empire. The story goes that he gave the gift of money to three girls to pay their wedding dowry by secretly dropping it in a sack through the window. here was a lot more to him, though - he's also the patron saint of children, sailors, pharmacists, and Aberdeen!

Santa, it brings a smile to your face and fills you with excitement. Santa wants everyone

to be happy so he has helpers who talk to the children and remind them to be good, and

relay what the children are asking for.

Mrs. Claus oversees the elves and takes care of Santa of course.

Mrs. Claus lived in a nearby village that Santa would visit. One day he saw her outside

playing with a group of children. She seemed so loving and caring and it caught Santa’s

attention. Well the rest is history.
